How to join
Java, Bedrock (phones, tablets and Windows) and a browser version all play on the same world. You'll be asked to link a free FreeMathSchool account the first time you join.
- Open Minecraft: Java Edition and pick Multiplayer.
- Choose Add Server and type mc.freemathschool.org as the address.
- Join. The game shows you a code and a link: open the link, sign in to FreeMathSchool and enter the code.
Works on Java 1.8 and newer, so you don't need to match our version.
- Open Minecraft (Bedrock) and go to Play, then Servers.
- Scroll down and tap Add Server.
- Address mc.freemathschool.org, port 19132.
- Join and link your FreeMathSchool account with the code you're shown.
Xbox, PlayStation and Switch don't let you add servers, so use a phone, tablet or Windows PC.
- Sign in to FreeMathSchool (it's free).
- Open the Minecraft page and press Play.
- The game loads right in the tab. No download, no Minecraft account needed.
Works best on a computer with a keyboard and mouse. Your land and progress are the same as on Java or Bedrock once your accounts are linked.
What's on the server
Classic survival with a lot more to do once you've built your first house.
Your own land
Claim a plot with /claim, grow it, and choose who can build. A Claim Saver carries your build into the next season.
Events all day
Golden chicken hunts, meteor showers, lucky blocks, boss fights, races and more. A new one starts every half hour.
Real FMS coins
Quests, events and selling items earn FreeMathSchool coins you can spend on the site or in the server shop.
Teams and towns
Start a team, build on each other's land, found a town and climb the team leaderboard.
PvP when you want it
Duels with wagers, King of the Hill every evening, Territory War on Saturdays, bounties and bandits in the wild.
Trading
An auction house, chest shops, contracts and a Trading Center next to spawn.
Quests and relics
Three new daily quests, achievements on your FMS profile, and 16 relics to collect that stay with you between seasons.
Voice chat
Talk in the #minecraft room on FreeMathSchool. People near you in game sound louder, no mod needed.
The rules
Short version: be someone people want to play with.
- Be kind. No bullying, hate or harassment, in chat or in voice.
- No cheats. Hacked clients, x-ray and dupes get you banned. An anti-cheat is watching.
- Respect claims. Don't grief, steal from or trap other people's land.
- Keep it clean. No inappropriate builds, skins or names.
- No spam or ads. Don't advertise other servers.
- Listen to staff. Questions? Ask in #minecraft or use /suggest for ideas.
